Robber Barons On the Rise Again
With Indiana becoming a right to work state last week and with Arizona drafting a state bill that would make it the most outrageously right to work state, I have come to the conclusion that Robber Barons are on the rise again. Robber Barons were business owners in a time before unions. They forced workers to work long hours, often from dusk until dawn, for little money. The little money the workers got they had to spend at the companies store and were forced to rent apartments from the companies, so in the end workers ended up owing business owners. Without unions America could definitely become full with Robber Barons.
